Apply for Student’s Pass

Any foreigner who is not a Singapore Permanent Resident, and wishes to study at SMU is required to obtain a student pass.

Make Payment for Confirmation Fee

Confirmation fee is non refundable and it is used for pre-course activities and matriculation. The payment of $203 can be made via credit card on Applicant’s self-service portal or AXS Payment Stations available island-wide.

Online matriculation

Online matriculation is done on Applicant’s self-service portal.

Please make sure to complete step 1 and 2 before you proceed with this step. Do check your email frequently regarding the dates of online matriculation and payment of confirmation fee.

Activate SMU Computer Account

Activate SMU Computer Account on Applicant’s self-service portal. Please remember your new SMU User ID and Password. SMU Email Account is used to correspond with SMU and for school purpose. Important emails will be sent to that email account. Please remember to check it regularly even before school officially starts.

Upload Photograph

Approved photographs will be used for printing onto SMU Student Card, which will be issued to you during the IDs Verification Day. Do note that there are deadlines for photo submission.

Fee Matters& Financial Services

Those who are interested in taking up tuition grant will only have to pay the SUBSIDISED fee. Permanent residents and foreign students who are eligible for and intend to take up the tuition grant must sign a Tuition Grant Agreement, which requires them to work in Singapore-registered companies for 3 years upon graduation from SMU.

Pre-enrolment Medical Check-up

All students are required to undergo a compulsory medical examination with Raffles Medical Group (RMG) in Singapore prior to starting your studies in SMU.

Perform ID verification and ID collections in SMU

All students are required to come to SMU personally before commencing on their studies.
