1. Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI)

 

KBRI, The Indonesian Embassy, is located at 7 Chatsworth Road.

The embassy is the place to go to renew our passports or apply visas. It conducts ceremony annually during our independence day on 17th of August. For the Muslims, The KBRI is also hosting Idul Fitri and Idul Adha prayer every year and also Taraweh and break fast on Ramadhan.

 

How to get there:

 

By cab:

Most people will do it by cab as it is quite inaccesible.

 

By bus:

• Alight at Outram Park MRT station, take exit A

• Go to the bus stop opposite

• Take bus 75, alight at “Aft One Tree Hill” stop and walk about 10 minutes.

 

2. Smoking

 

Smoking is not permitted in public service vehicles, museums, libraries, lifts, theatres, cinemas, air-conditioned eating places, restaurants, hair salons, supermarkets, etc. Please look out for designated smoking public areas.

 

3. Drug Abuse

 

The death penalty is mandatory for those convicted of drug trafficking, importing or exporting more than 15g of heroine, 30g of morphine, 30g of cocaine, 500g of cannabis, 200g of cannabis resin or 1.2kg of opium. Posession of such quantities is deemed as a prima facie evidence of trafficking.

For unauthorized consumption, there is a maximum of 10 years’ imprisonment or a fine of S$20,000 or both.
