"SMUKI ADALAH KITA"

OUR PEOPLE ARE OUR FAMILY

OUR CLUB

SMU Komunitas Indonesia (SMUKI) is a cultural club in Singapore Management University. Established in 2004, SMUKI now has more than 150 active members. Our members, which include Indonesian and non-Indonesian students, are the embodiment of SMUKI’s unyielding spirit to promote Indonesian arts and culture especially within the young generation.

SMUKI actively promotes Indonesian culture within and outside SMU through student-led activities or in partnership with external organizations. Since its conception, SMUKI has won many awards and recognition such as “The Most Outstanding CCA in SMU Awards” from SMU Student Associations, “The Best Cultural Club Awards” from SMU and “The Most Outstanding Spirit Awards” from SMU Arts and Cultural Fraternity.

We aspire to promote Indonesian arts & culture inside and outside of SMU community as well as fostering a close relationship with the Indonesian community in Singapore through showcasing our diverse traditional dances, music, food and costumes.

SMUKI has been invited to participate in various events within or outside SMU and we also have its own annual cultural production, better known as GAYA (Gelar Budaya or Cultural Exhibition).
