Cotillion 2014

Cotillion is SMUKI's annual graduation dinner to congratulate all our graduates for surviving their years in SMU and to take on board all their contributions devoted to SMUKI. This year's theme of Cotillion was "Hall of Fame" which was designated to put the graduates as the lime-light of the event. With fascinating yet hillarious chain of events awaiting the graduates, this dinner was also organized to highlight post-exam celebration where everyone could enjoy the night and have a good time with each other.

Before the event began, "Hall of Fame" photo diaries was hung in a wooden string using a clip. These photo diaries were the captures of memorable moments that they had gone through together. Looking at the pictures, all those bitter-sweet memories were relieved with a sense of familiarity. Even though in the future, there might be a possibility that each will go to a different path, but these pictures vividly commemorated that they were once cemented their bonds of friendship  in SMUKI.

Meanwhile, to sate the growling stomachs before dinner, there was a snack bar displaying appetizing little snacks and drinks for everybody to dive in.

It was now dinner time! An array of scrumptious dishes ranging from appetizer to dessert was laid out for everyone to enjoy. Excitingly, dinner was held outdoor so that people could savour in their food while chit-chatting with one another. The sound of boisterous laughter and giggling voices filled up the breezy yet warm night.

After a satisfying dinner, our Prsedient was again cordially invited to give a token of appreciation to each of the graduates starting from Michael Hermantoso(first-row left), Cindy Karim, Indara Adam Dermawan, Melwin Louis Tanu, Katherine Khorazon, Sylvia Amanda Noersari, and Shirra Aretti(second-row right).

Of course, a celebration was not called one without a proper toast. Therefore, Michael Hermantoso was asked to give a few words before he proposed a toast to everyone. Cheers to the future and many great years ahead!

With the toast as the highlight of our event, Cotillion had come to the end. But as always, our event was ended with a group picture.

One, two, three, say cheeseeee ;)

To make things more interesting, every freshie as well as sophomore could write messages for the graduating seniors; even the graduates could write messages to each other. Then, the messages would be kept in an envelope with their faces as the cover. We could expect that the seniors would be feeling quite touched at the same time happy to receive hearty congratulations and kind words from everyone.

To start off the event, our Exco 10th President, Ms.Gabriella Ong was invited to give a speech in which she gave her best wishes to the graduates and earnestly thanking everyone who had come down to join this event.

It was a truly unforgettable night filled with laughter and reminiscene of the past. To all the year fours, SMUKI would like to offer a heartiest congratulations once again and wish you all the best for your future endeavors. As for everyone, thank you for participating in this event and making Cotillion a picture perfect event!

We can't wait to see you guys on our next event!

" As we go on, we remember all the times we had together....."
