RASA (Raising Appreciation Sharing Affection)
The time has finally come for EXC9's first event! As their first event, EXC9 used this opportunity to appreciate the hard work of EXC8 who precede them and share affection to all SMUKI members whom they will serve during their term! In this event, the concept of togetherness has been pushed forward to make all SMUKI members feel belonged and at home here.
RASA brought SMUKI family members together in laughter and love, for a little break during the hectic life in week 6. Held in conjunction with Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, RASA served as a perfect occasion to gather with our big SMUKI family!

The whole thing started off with the premiere of SMUKI EXC9 Video! The video introduces the members of EXC9 in their own unique ways and characteristics, with Hans and Edric as the main star! (who adapted a lot of Gaya’s lines :p)

The event has brought about great fellowship, exciting activities, delicious food and an awesome photo booth for the members to picture their memory together in this event

During RASA, numerous entertaining games were played. It started off with the emcee asking each of the group to come up with cheers to indicate the readiness of the group. The participants came up with variety of creative cheers and it was a great way to
spice up the whole event!

The loser team of this warm-up game was asked to do an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for special lap dance on our own President, Hans Airy. Unlike the normal ways of awarding the prize, surprising prize was given to the best LAP DANCER instead!
It was a really great initiative by the welfare team to bring the mood up!

Next is somewhat serious ! :p The new President, Hans Airy gave his first official speech of this year! He thanked all of the members who have come to the event and especially to EXC8 who have taken care of SMUKI this past year. Furthermore, he gave his appreciation for every single person of EXC8 for having done such a great job, thus inheriting the EXC9 something to be truly grateful of!

The fun was then continued as the emcee brought us through the next amusing activity. The atmosphere was built up as the members were engrossed on flexing their bodies on the twister mat. In the end, a few guys were battling their movements and show off their flexibility until the last man standing emerged!

After dealing with some athletic activities, it was then the EXC9 Arts and Culture’s turn to indulge the members with their acoustic pieces as they performed different songs that were dedicated by the members for their “loved ones”.

While the members were enjoying the songs, the welfare team delivered some sweet treats to the members that have been pre-ordered! With this, the members can share their affection to one another; even small sweets can mean a lot if you gave it with a lot of love !

Furthermore, in commemoration with Valentine’s Day, RASA also united pairs of lovebirds through the impromptu “wedding ceremony”. Lucky lovers (Kawi & Kurnia, Jiely & Daniel Minardi, Ivana & Michael, Janice & Cindy Karim) were competing against each other as they walked down the “aisle” ! Hilarious ways of “wedding ceremony” were carried out, bringing joy and ecstasy to all the members!
The best couple which ultimately won was our very own “bromance” couple Kawi and Kurnia as they never failed to entertain the members with their public display of affection :P

Lastly, the event ended with dinner-cum-mingling session with more photo-taking!

RASA has marked the first SMUKI event in 2013 and set a standard for the future events to be greater. Rest assured, more exciting events are coming up. Make sure to stay tune and join us in the future!
